THE PENGUIN WRECK.
• Sir—There are,a ..number of nautical-men m this Dominion who, . like myself, •. arc. not feeling any .too satisfied over the inquiry into tho Penguin disaster. 'As seamen, wo know the risks that have to be .run, and also know J what it is to have to' make judgments in supremo .moments when rules and regulations count for nought. What it is desired to know is this: "What has the Union Company, done to locate-the Penguin? Have they mad© any effort?" Something should be done at once, for thero are quite a number of ,us who are positivo the Penguin did not strike Tom's ltock. and that if the Straits are dragged it will be found that tho ill-fated vessel struck a derelict, and is not near Tom's Rock at all. In the interest of sommon justice to Captain Naylor -and others tvko may be placed m a similar position, let tho Penguin be located andiset tho minds of the public at. rest.—l am, etc , '■ • 11. 11.
