Operations at New.Big River for the past week wero as follow—Work was 'confined to sinking in No. 9 winzo, driving in No. 9 level east, repairing No. 7 level and No. 2- intermediate level, driving of cut from No. 1 level, and repairing dam, sinking of No. 9 winze continued in country rock. No. 9 level: This face now'shows an averago width of Gft. of reef, with every appcaranco o£ widening in tho back of the levol. Extensive ropairs aro being made to the battery dam- during the present dry weather and, until tho weather breaks, no water is available for crushing purposes. DREDGING RETURNS.
