Sir,—At tho present time a great amount of talk is going on 'as to who will bo tlio next Mayor. Certain names havo been mentioned as candidates. A deputation has nlso waited on tho present Mayor, but 1 think Mr. llislop would bo wise to givo it up. I, along with many others, nm of opinion a chango is required, and tho man to fill the position and who would fill it if the electors got him to stand, is Sir. T. M. W'ilford, M.l\ Trusting Mr. Wilford will see his way clear to servo tho people ot Wellington as head of its civic board. —1 am, etc., R.D.M. . March 5.
