'It places Britisli subjects within the jurisdiction of Siamese courts with European advisers: Siam renounces in favour of Britain her suzerainty over tho districts of Kalantan, Tringganu, and Kcdah (States on tho Malay Peninsula). Thus 15,000 square miles, of territory is added to the flag. . fThe States of Kednli (area, 30(5 square miles, population. 219,000), Kalantan, and Tringganu, in the Malay Peninsula, formerly acknowledged tho sovereignty of Siam. but retained a certain amount of independence. In Kednh and Kalantan, the Eajahs were assitde by Englsh advisers.]
