WESLEYAN ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY

> The Wesleyan Orchestral Society held its thirteenth annnal meeting in Wesley Hall, Taranaki Street, on Monday evening, 1 when there was a good 'attondanco of members. Reports showing, a satisfactory state of affairs in regard to membership, attendance at practices, finance, etc., were presented by the secretary and treasurer. Tho balanco of assets over liabilities-amounted to £29 10s. Regret was expressed at tho death of tho president, the lato Mr. C. W. Benbow.' The following officers wero elected:— Patron, tho Rev. S. J. Serpell; president, Mr. J. W. Copithorne; vice-presidents, Messrs. Garrard, F. Aston, and R. Hosie; conductor, Mr. F. Billman; vice-conductor, Mr. A. Hudson; secretary and treasurer, Mr. F. Hatch; assistant secretary, Mr. Warwick; librarian, Mr. Harlen.
