PENGUIN RELIEF FUND.
The following donations have boon received for tho Mayor's Penguin .Relief Fund Sacred Heart Church concert on February 28, £21 Is. 6d.; net proceeds of tho Corporation Tramway Band excursion and concert at Day's Bay, £16 9s. 9d.; Mr. T. Honayne, £1 Is.; Councillor J. Smith, 10s. To further augment tho Penguin Relief Fund, it is proposed to hold at tho Newtown. Park on March 17 (St. Patrick's Day), a fancy dress cricket match. Tho teams will bo selected from tho Wellington press representatives and tlio Wellington Wednesday Cricket Association. Permission has been obtained to mako a collection in tlio Park. Tho match is to bo played under tho patronage of his Worship the Mayor (tho Hon. T.,'W. Hislop). It is Anticipated that an interesting match will bo the result, and as the object is a worthy one the Relief Fund should greatly benefit. ,Tho following donations to. tho Penguin Relief Fund hare been received at I'm Dominion office: — ..
