SWIFTS FOOTBALL CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. There was a large attendance at'tho anmial meeting of the Swifts Football Club last night. Mr. B. L. Salmon was voted to the chair. The report and balance-sheet (a summary of which has alroadv appeared in The Dominion) wcro adopted. About a dozen new players were elected to membership of the club. * It was decided that practice should commence on Saturday week In reply to an inquiry, Mr. Churchwood wrote stating that lie could make arrangements for two matches at Blenheim at Easter. The matter was referred to tbo neiv commit-too. Offers of a number of medals for the coming season were received. The Wellington physical Training School authorities offered members of the club the privileges of £ieir gymnasium at a reduction of 25 per cent in the ordinary subscriptions. It was agreed that tho committee should endeavour to make arrangements similar to those mado last season. Medals were presented to tho following players:—Junior second division: most improved player—A J. Overcnd; best back — G. P. Williamson; best forward— 0. Footo. Junior third division: most improved player —C. Spearman; best back—ll. Shields; best forward—S. Luxton. A special medal was presented by members of the junior second division to their captain, H. Carrutliors, in recognition of his all round play. The election of office-bearers for the season resulted as follow: —President, Mr. C. P. Skerrctt, K.C.; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. W. Bridge, R. J. Thompson, C. E. Fordham, J. N. Isaacs, J. F. Mills, A. C. Pearco, 11. G. Stayer, J. M. Geddis, G. Hunt, and Dr. Henry; club captain, F. J. Courtney; lion, treasurer, G. Wilson, junr.; lion, secretary, P. 11. Pye-Smith; assistant lion, secretary, F, Tattle; lion, auditor, H. D. Vickcry; committee, Messrs. B. L. Salmon, H. I. Graves, J. 11. Pve-Smith, and J. M. Oilier; delegates to the W.F.A., Messrs. B. L. Salmon, L. White, and J. M. Oilier; senior selection committee, Messrs. Graves, Scott, and J. Pye-Smith.
