FOURTH DAY'S EVENTS. DUNEDIN MAN HEADS THE TOTALS.! , THE WELLINGTON AND OTAGO ' MATCHES. SUPERB SHOOTING IN THE LATTER. Another beautiful day dawned at Trentham festerday, when the Now Zealand Championship Riflo Meeting entered upon the fourth day's events. The firing of both, stnges o£ the Wellington Match, ten shots each at 500 and 600 yards, the initial stage of the Otago Match at .800 yards, and two extra matches at 600 yards and at 1000.'yards-were got through. :The day's events were carried out without a hitch. A feature of the shooting was the brilliance of the marksmanship, particularly ■in the Otago Match, when no' fewer (than thirteen "possibles" were registered before the , luncheon adjournment, and a large number of competitors achieved within one point or two ■ of the maximum. ' Tile honours in the Welling- , ton Match fell to Col.-Sergt Grindell, of ' Napier, whose aggrejate score totalled 95 ' points. The runners-up were: Gunner Ching, .'R.N:Z.A., Lyttelton, and Corp. Patrick, Royal '. Bides, Auckland, each 94, the' latter being ' placed third on the count back. The two extra fmatches at' 600 and 1000 yards were won by (Rifleman M'lntosh, Opaki (34), and Corp. J. , 18. Fisher, Stoke (34) respectively. Interest in '. the championship aggregates is, of course, be- - coming keen, and the present state of the aggregates as will be ' seon below, gives Pte. Mackay, of Dunedin, a- lead with 281 points. The same marksman is in the lead for the Union Cup, which will be decided to-day; The Union Cup leading aggregates appended are the leading aggregato scores in the competition for the J Union Steam Ship Co.'s Cup, awarded to the 'highest aggregate scorer in the Auckland, WelHingto'n, and Nelson Matches. The final stage of the Auckland Match still remains to be fired, and Gunner Ching, R.N.Z.A., Lyttelton, 232; Pte. F. W. Mackay, Dunedin, 233; Riflejnan Winslade, Opaki, 230; Capt. W. S.
