WAIRARAPA HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
THE SUMMER SHOW. The summer show of the . Wairarapa Horticultural Society' was hold at Carterton on Saturday, when the attendance of the public was good. The various classes were well filled, and Mr. C. H. Poole, of -Wellington, who was. judge, considered the exhibits excellent, Speaking very highly ,of the decorative .baskets. Mr. Alfred Booth, of Hawarden, Gladstone, was the principal exhibitor in roses, and secured,tho award for the best rob> in the show. There were seven entries in the decorated table class, which was decided by popular vote, the result of which was: Mrs. Hadfield, 1; Miss Berrill, 2; Miss Eagle, 3. In this class for children, Miss- Moana Moore was first, and Miss K. Deller seccnd.
