BENEVOLENT TRUSTEES.

Yesterday afternoon's meeting of the Trustees of the Benevolent Institution was attended by the lle'v. W. A. Evans, (in the chair), Messrs. D. Robertson, H; Cook, and F. G. Bolton. '

A letter was received from the Society for the Protection of Women and Children, nominating Miss Richmond for the vacancy on the board caused bv the resignation of Mrs. Darvall. ' The members of "the board thought the appointment' would be a very desirable one, and the secretary was instructed to write informing the society ,of the necessary, steps to be taken in order that.it might become eligible to nominate a member of the board.
