Others have come out to join friends already settled in tho Dominion; wives and children have como to join husbands and fathers; young women have come to bo married to young men who set out earlior to make a home in New Zealand; a few have como out "on spec," and about half-a-dozen aro returned New Zealanders. The new arrivals includo 17 farmers, one dairy farmer, six farm labourers, 10 domestics, and eight ma.rried women coming to join their husbands. The immigrants have capital ranging from £25 to £359. Those who have come north by the Taluno aro ti> bo distributed as follow:—Lyttelton 47, Westport 3, Wellington 52, Napier 1, New Plymouth 4, Gisborne 8, and Auckland 40.
