SUPREME COURT.
IN CHAMBERS. A summons to stato an issue of law in connection with tho case of the Australian General Electric Company v. tho Collector of Customs at Wellington, came before Mr. Justice Cooper in Chambers yesterday. Tho point involved in the issuo is whether a decision of tho for Customs on a question under the Tariff Act, 1007, in which he decided tho plaintiffs were not carrying on business in New Zealand within tho meaning of tho Act, was reviewed by tho Supremo Court. His Honour approved of tho issue as stated in tho summons, and tho case will como on for hearing on November 6. Mr. Weston appeared on behalf of tho plaintiffs, and Mr. Myers for tho defendant.
