CO-PARTNERSHIP PROPOSAL. (BY IELEGRATH —PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) S (Rec. October 25, 4.30 p.m.) London, October 24. A meeting of delegates of the men employed by Furness, Withy and Company, of -West Hartlepool has approved of - Sic Christopher Furness's co-partnorship proposals previously cabled, and urged that tha local branches of the various unions concerned" should adopt them experimentally, for a year. • Sir Christopher Furness, head of the -firm ot Furness, AVithy, and Co., shipbuilders, offeredto sell to the trades unions connected with shipbuilding the firm's shipyards at Hartlepool, or admit them to co-partnership, . provided they eivo a pledge not to strike. Sir Christopher. Furness says ho fears to enter into contracts unless industrial peace is assured.
