At a meeting of the Christohurch centre of tho New Zealand Bowling Association a draft programme for tho New Zealand championship meeting was submitted as follows, and adoptedßink matches, to be played in sections, 21 heads, with a time-limit of two and a half hours —seven games ' assured. Doubles —to be played on the "sudden death" principle, 21 heads, witli a time-limit of-two hours. Singles—" sudden death," 21 heads, with a time-limit of one and a half hours. The tournament is to commenco on Monday, January 18, at 8 a.m. Threo games of tho samo to be played on Tuesday and Wednesday ; sectional ties (if an}') and semi-finals of rink matches on Thursday; doubles to commence at 8.30 a.m. —four rounds and singles, if possible, on Friday; doubles and singles on Saturday morning; and finals of rinks and doubles in the afternoon; singles on Monday, and finals of singles, if necessary. The ladios' day is to be fixed later. It was resolved that rink championships should commence at 9.30 a.m., and that all New Zealand players must be bona-fide members of the club they represent, and have been resident at least one calendar month before the close of entries within either the provincial district or centre district to which tho club belongs. • It was resolved that tho council] should be asked to await a recommendation from the centre to Mr. Dall's system of the limitation of iburnt heads before finally dealing with- the tournament programme.
