SCOTTISH AND SKYE TERRIER CLUB.
The annual mooting of the Scottish and Skyo Terrier Club of New Zealand was held in Godber's Rooms last evening, there being a fair attendance of members, including four ladies. Tlio report stated that there was now a membership of 67, and the finances were.in a satisfactory state. The club had a balance to credit of £18 14s. 6d., and assets (in trophies) amounting" to £41. The following officers were electcd for the ensuing yoarPatrons, Countess of Aberdeen, Hon. B. M'Nab, Hon. G. Fowlds, Hon. J. A. Millar, Messrs. Paul Hunter and Robt. Young; president, Mr. J. F. Studholme; vice-presidents, Mesdames Johnston and T. C. Williams, Misses Jessie Hunter and L. R. Ferguson, Hon. T. W. Hislop, Dr. \V. Mackenzie, Messrs. W. Ballantyne, 11. 0. Duncan, W. F. Edmond, A. G. Mason, J. A. Pike, A. H. F. Thomson, W: H. Turnbull, Jas. Fleming, and John Mackenzie; Management Committee, Messrs. L. M. Lamlsbor'ough (chairman), Thomas Crouch, Alex. Brown, James Collins, Jack Hatton, Edward Kirkland, Walter Street, Gerald Turner.; lion, secretary and treasurer, William Bailie; lion, auditors, Messrs. L. M. Landsborough and Walter Street. It was decided after a discussion, in which the claims of several places were considered, to hold the club's specialist shows next,year in connection with tlio Kennel Club's shows at Napier and Palmerston North. Before the meeting ended, Miss Jessio Hunter was handed the £G 6s. silver cup for the best Scottish torrieroxhibitod at tlio Auckland show, and Mr. John Mackenzie's (of Sydney) trophy fo rtlie best Scottish terrier exhibited at tlio Wellington show. Mr. Paul Hunter, of Pprangahau, who was present, intimated his intention of presenting £5 ss. to next year's trophy fund.
