A-limelight lecture <m General Gordon was delivered at tho I'ctone Primitive Methodist Church last night by tho Rev. P. J. Cossum, of Feilding-, who is conducting -lectures.-for tho support of back-blocks churches. Tho Rev. B. Metson prosided over a' fair ittendance. The lecturer dealt, with Gordon's exploits in China, .and the.Sudan, and lie was listened to 'with' the 'greatest '"attention throughout. In conncction with tho saino object" tho Sunday School children have been collccting )vith cards, and abmit"'£G- 'has already been donated, which is'considered satisfactory' for -the time they havo' been : en•gaged. . .
