It is expected (says our Auckland, corresI pondent) that tho export of butter from ■ Auckland for tho fortnight ending next Friday will bo a record quantity for' that period of theyear. A feature of tho trade of this year, is the evident appreciation of South African people of New Zealand butter, and the export to South Africa is becoming a recognised and important feature of the Auckland butter trade. Great implements have been made in the butter chilling rooms at tho • Auckland Freezing Works, and experts state that butter shipped direct from Auckland will now bo landed on the London market in tho very best condition possible for New Zealand butter. -
