BENEVOLENT TRUSTEES.
Yesterday afternoon's meeting of the trustees of the Benevolent Institution was attended by the Rev. W. A. Evans (in the chair), and Messrs. J. Smith and D. llobertson Prior to the regular work of relief being 'proceeded with, a conference took place between the trustees and Dr. Valintine, In-spector-General of Hospitals, regarding the proposed accommodation to bo provided for casual and intermediate cases. The conference was held in committee, but no definite course of action was decided upon, the matter boing held over till further conferences have been held. The number of inmates at the Ohiro Homo was reported by the master (Mr. A. 11. Truebridge) to bo 102, 71 males and 31 females. The usual applications for relief, somewhat fewer than usual, were dealt with. Gentlemen and their families desiring suitable accommodation at Trcnthun for tho summer months can obtain same closo to the golf links, racecourse, Hutt River, .uid Wallacevillo or Trentham sidings, by wrusing particulars advertised on our front p.igo. Tho salo takes place at tliu auctioneers' rooms to-day, commencing ai 1.30 o'clock sharp. Tho Simla Estate, Khandallah, consisting of thirty high-class residential sections, will be offered by public auction (,urin B ' November by Messrs. Thomson and Broivn, auctioneers, Customhouse Quay.
