Thirty Governments are represented at the Refrigeration Congress, which has opened hi Paris. Six thousand members nro present, the British delegates numbering 100. M. Ruiui, Minister for Agriculture, in opening tlio congress, emphasised the enoiriious value of refrigerating industries in relation to tho world's food supply, and the necessity of opening up tho world's markets to frozen produce. By prudently using the refrigerating industry, it was possible, ho said, to regulate prices in tho interests .both of producers, and. of consumers, averting all fear of famine. Mr. Montague Nelson (New Zealand) explained' the great benefits refrigerating had conferred on British colonies.
