. . ■ October 5. ■ To-day Dunedin enjoyed a splendid thunder shower, tho first rain for about a month. It was much needed. The hon. treasurer of the Public Art Gallory has had returned to him two debentures of £100 each, which wore issued ill connection with tho Art Gallery building fund. Tho donors are Messrs.. Speight and Co. and Mr. John lloss. ,
