NAVY LEAGUE.

PRIME MINISTER CONGRATULATED. A copy of the following letter has been sent to the Right Hon. the Prime Minister by tho local lion, secretary of the Navy League:— "Sir, —I have the honour to inform you that, at the monthly meeting of tho local executivo of the Navy League, general gratification was expressed at the passing of tho Naval Subsidy Bill; and, in this connection, I was asked to convey to you tho sincere congratulations of the committee. "Considerable interest was also shown by the committee in reference to your remarks of Dominion Day as to tho proposed extension of tho sea-training scheme in New Zealand; and tho hope was generally expressed that your Government would eventually bo successful in obtaining from tho Admiralty tho use of a ship suitable for such a purpose.
