HankinSj.who has been laid up for some time, .owing to severe heart attacks, had a relapse on Saturday evoning, but ■is 'now ( as well as can be expected. Thero are two well-grown oranges on exhibition' in Levin that wero grown on a place in Manakau, a few miles distant. The meeting of, tho Weraroa Sports Club held on Friday night last mado satisfactory arrangements in corincction_ with the. programme -for "their next meeting, to be held on November 9. The programme is' lengthy and full of variety, and, as well as manytrophies, the club- is giving somewhere near £40 in' prize money. At.the last meeting of the Domain Board a vote 'of thanks was accorded to Mr. Mayo, nurseryman, for' his generous donation of one hundred. 1 trees in connection with the local streots • beautifying scheme.
