ST. JOHN AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION.
DISTRICT NURSING GUILD. Tho monthly meeting of the St. John Ambulance District Nursing Guild Committee held yesterday afternoon was attended by Mrs. S.' A. Rhodes (who presided), Mrs. \Y. H. S. Moorhouso, Mrs. \V. 13. Tripe, Mrs. J. P. Luke, Mrs. H. W. Preston, Miss Higgie, and Mrs. W. B. Fisher (lion, secretary). An apology was received for tho unavoidable absence of Mrs. T. W. Hislop. The monthly report submitted b ; v tho senior district nurse showed that 969 visits had been paid to tho sick poor of tho city by Nurses Sexton and Macandrew. Two patients wore sent to the General Hospital, and two deaths' had occurred: The following additional subscriptions wero acknowledged:—St. Peter's Relief Guild, £5; Mrs. Ponsonby, and Mr. S. Gilmer, £1 Is.- each ; Mrs. P. Myers, 10s.; ,Miss Greenwood and. Miss Evans, ss. each. Gifts of. clothing,' etc., have been received from Mesdames Cooper, Hoare, Ewin, Watson, Preston, Wilson,' Myers, Stock, Grunsler, Simkin, Seed, Field, Gear Company, " A Friend," Kia Ora, and Girls' Realm Guild. Her Excellency Lady Plunket kindly sent (lowers for distribution among the patients; which were much appreciated. .
