PAHIATUA.
A highly successful '.social arranged by ladies on behalf of the local football club was held •in the Makomako Schoolroom on Friday night.- The room proved uncomfortably small for tho number attending, but nevertheless, the participants highly enjoyed themselves, dancing being continued to an early hour on Saturday morning. Committees h'avo been arranged to get up concerts in aid of the funds .of tho school committee and the Pahiatua Cricket Club at early dates.
