The Chancellor- of the' Exchequer; Mr. Lloyd-George, speaking at Swansea, said it was the duty of the Liberals to mako some State provision as a first cliargo on our vast resources for the aged and deserving poor and for tho unemployed who had done their, duty, but who wero unable to longor support their familios. He argued that honest capital had no need to fear auy of his proposals.
