A YOUNG PEOPLE'S DEPARTMENT. A circular signed by the chairman of thi Congregational Union and by tho officials of the council and of the committee for work amongst tho young, has been issued to superintendents, toacners, and secretaries of ' young, people's societies. The intention to form a Young People's Department, to put in practice tho, new ideals in this branch of work, is announced, and a scheme is outlined by which tho department will co-operate with Sunday schbol workers. It is intended to help the individual school and society by (1) opening a bureau at the Memorial Hall whero workers amongst the young may hold consultations; '(2) making this a place of call for young Congregat-ionalists; (3) fitting it with specimens of the newest books and other apparatus; (4) : . placing demonstrators of best Sunday school methods within reach of tha schools; (5) having a consulting building adviser, versed in the needs of tho moddrn school, at' the call of building committees; (6) giving periodic information on matters of common interest; (7) generally placing tha committee's.gathered experience at tha disposal of the schools and societies.
