HOCKEY.
Tho liockoy fixture between Wellington and Y.M.C.A., set down for decision r.cxt Saturday, has been declared off owing to -the lateness of tho season. Tho only remaining match is that between Wesley and Thorndon, and it is possible that, it will not eventuate. An endeavour is being made to arrange a friendly' match between a team of officers from the warship Encounter, when' sho-re-turns to Wellington, and the - Wellington Hockey Club.
