One of thp questions put was whether tho agreement applied to tho New Zealand trade. 1 In each case the evidence disclosed tho fact that the defendant firm acted on the advice of its solicitors, who claimed that there was no legal obligation t<. answer questions, and that the Act was ultra vires. It was suggested that tho caso should, bo made a test one, and this suggestion was adopted. The matter will now be taken to the High' Court, both parties desiring a final and early settlement. ''
