OLD BOYS' CLUB. The report of the Wellington. College Old Boys' Club, to be presented at the annual meeting to-night, congratulates members on the fact that the club last year maintained the standard of play set up in tho previous year. The senior eleven, for the. second year, in succession, won the senior championship and Levin Shield, and the committee hoped that every effort will be made by members, during, the coming season, to retain this honour. The junior eleven began the season very well and for some.time it looked as though the junior cup was within their reach, but after the Christmas holidays there was a falling off in play,'and the ■ eleven" did liot finish with as good a record as was expected. The third'and fourth elevens enjoyod a fairly good season, but shortage of members proved somewhat of a handicap. The annual match,., past and present boys, was again abandoned owing to wet weather: Enjoyable visits we're .paid to Nolson and Masterton during the season, ono of the visits being returned by the Nelson Club.. The committee, recommend the re-engagement this coming season of Mr. K. H. Tucker as coach. Messrs! Tucker, Beechey, Monaghan, J. P. Blacklock, O. P:. Biacklock; and R, Mason gained senior representative honours during the season. Mr, M. C. Barnett offered a bat for competition last season, and the committeo decided to allot it to tho player taking the greatest number of catches. Unfortunately . somo of the records of tho club havo been lost, and the committee, with tho donor's conscnt, pro* pose to.carry the.competition forward to the 1908-9 season. ■ The balance-sheet shows an overdraft of £13 14s. 6d. at the bank, but this is fully covered by outstanding subscriptions. The assets of tho club exceed the liabilities by £27 ss. 6d. Thanks are extended to Messrs. J. P. Firth, M. C. Barnett, W. E. Bothuno, and Dr. Martin for donations to tho funds of the club. /
