BRITISH TRADE IN THE COMMONWEALTH MR. MORGAN'S VISIT. THE AUSTRALIAN TARIFF. (BT xriEonArH— pbess association—copiaicnT.) (Rec. September 27, 4 p.m.) London, September 26. The Committee of tho Manufacturers' Association of Great Britain lias warmly thanked its Trado Commissioner, Mr. Ben H. Morgan, for tho excellent results of his recent mission to Australia, ■ New Zealand, and Canada. ' Mr. Morgan described the Australian market as of increasing importance to Britain. He claimod that tho reductions in duties and increased preferences to Britain under tho Australian tariff were the result of his representations to tho Commonwealth Government, and would save British manufacturers £100,000 per annum, besides strengthening their position in the Australian market.
