A BONED. MEAT DIFFERENCE.
The London correspondent of "The Pastoralists' Review" says:—"There has been trouble in connection with a large quantity of boned beef from New Zealand for Glasgow by a West Coast steamer; the inspector contended that the greater part was not in fit condition for human food. London surveyors have gone down, and they report that the meat is sound, but I hear in one line of 2000 boxes that only eleven were passed as saleable. But several experts question this drastic action, holding that the meat was perfectly fit for human food." ; ■ Evidently it was not before its time that a veterinary representative for New Zealand was appointed in tho United Kingdom.' His report on this' matter will be awaited with interest.
