NEW ZEALANDER IN AMERICA.

Mr.' C. G. Houghton, of'Marton, N.Z., who carries with him a letter from the New Zealand Farmers' Association, has arrived in London, not much enamoured of his experiences in America. He has visited experiment farms'both in the United States and Canada, studying methods of agriculture in each country. This has necessitated his crossing the Canadian border several times, and he found it highly objectionable to be classed as an, "alien" every time he got into the States', and to be called upon to pay a poll tax. He is moving the authorities .in reference to his treatment.
