The- hockey season is drawing to a close, and six matches only have to bo played. Tho championships havo been decided, and interest is consequently • not so keen. Somo of the teams who hare.to play off are anxious to completo the round, as tho question of positiijn is, affected. Thc'follbwing aro Saturday's fixtures:— ' •United v.. Y.M.C.A., on_ No. 1. ground;' Wesley v. Vivian, No. 2Wellington v. Victoria College, No. 3; ICarori v. Thordon, No.. 4. '■ The other two matches, which are to b<v played oil Saturday week, are Wesley v. Thorndon and Wellington v. Y.M.C.A., A reply has been received, from t-hcMann-w.atu Association • stating that they were unable to get a team together to send hero on Dominion Day. Horowhenua have been invited by the' local association to send senior and junior, representative teams to Wellington on October 3. ■
