BANKRUPT BUILDERS,

The first meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of Henry Austin Gazzard and Harvey Vivian Gazzard, builders, was held by the Official 'Assignee (Mr. A. Simpson) jesterday. About ten creditors were pre' sont. . ■ ' H. A. Gazzard was present, and was represented by Mr. 1 Neave. It was stated - that H. V. Gazzard was in Auckland. The statement showed that £1377 12s. 9d. was owing to unsecured creditors, and £733 15s. to secured creditors. The stock-in-trade was estimated at £10; book debts, £226 lis. 3d.; furniture, £57; property, £1350, total, £1643 lis. 3d., deficiency, £467 16s. 6d. The principal unsecured creditors were: Prouse Bros., £73 16s. 2d.; Moncrief aud Young, £'44 2s. 3d:; A. F. Gibbs and ;Co., £78 7s. 9d.; E. W. Mills -and Co., £65 Bs. 2d.; E. Tonks, £21 17s. Od.; H. B. Cooper and Co., £39 lis. 4d.; Evans Bay. Timber Co., £493 ss. lOd.; (H. A. Gazzard owed the latter company £200 155.); total, £1377 12s. 9d.' The sccurcd creditors, were: A. Crad-, dock, £487; Sir K. Douglas, £66; W. H. Gilbert, £180 155.; total, £733 15s. After Gazzard bad given evidence, it.was decided that the mortgagor of a property of bankrupts' at Kilbirnie should sell out, and any surplus, after the second mortgage and costs of sale had been met, should bo paid to the assignee. The meeting was adjourned sino die.
