Robert M'Kenzw , Bricklcy, engineer, Petone.(Mr.' O'Leary),' sued William Brickley, .•fireman, Wellington • (Mr. Kirkcaldie), for possession of a sideboard, or, in tho alternative, its;.valuo,. £11)... Plaintiff,,,a- son of defendant, claimed that thesideboard was his property, and that his parents : h«d been keeping it until lie got married. 110 was now married, but liis father refused to give up the sideboard. Defendant said tho sideboard was tlic property, of his wife, the plaintiff's mother. Ho was willing to givo tho sidtuouril to the plaintiff, but.not to plaintiff's:-wife. His "Worship held that plaintiff bad., not established his ownership of tho sideboard, and entered a non-suit without costs. A LOAN COMPANY'S CLAIM. The Empire Loan and Discount Co., Lt<l. (Mr.JSlair), claimed £3 19s. Gd. from Solomon Lewis (air. Kirkcaldie), costs alleged to be due in connection with work done by plaintiff at the request, of defendant. liis Worship gave judgment for plaintiff for the amount claimed, and costs £1 12s.
