SEIZURES OF BONELESS BEEF.
NEW ZEALAND LAMBS CONDEMNED. A Glasgow correspondent of the "Meat Trades, Journal" says:—"Tho condemnation of boneless beef goes merrily on in Glasgow.. Every. other • day lorry loads of this cheap and very oftpn nasty commodity aro shipped from the l cold stores to tho inspecting room in Moore. Street slaughterhouse. There the stuff is / stripped of its ivooden jackets, built up in stacks, and left t6 thaw out. As may he imagined, after this dras-tic-treatment very little.of tho meat finds its way .out of the 'Sanatorium' for consumption as human food. Not only is" very strict attention being paid to boneless beef in tho cold stores, but all classes of frozen meat aro being subjected to rigorous inspection by Mr. Trotter and his stalf. Only the other day a large number of New Zealand lambs wore condemned for being spotted with mould in the skirts, which, a year or so ago, would never have been called in question. If these wholesale condemnations which have taken placo in Glasgow lately are being duplicated in 'other centres; 1 and are likely to continuo, tho game of shipping boneless beef will soon not bo worth tho candle."
