IMPROVING OUTLOOK. Following aro the prices which have boen obtained by those cheese companies who have sold their outputs to agents, instead of consigning:— Otaraia (Vairarapa); s>jd. per lb. Dannevirke, SJd. per lb. Mataura,' 6 l-16d. per lb. Tawaha (Wairarapa),' refused, s|d. per lb. At the present time the cheese market is firming, and there is a tendency to hold out for 6Jd., or to delay contracts in expectation of improved developments appearing in the already excellent outlook. .There is a strong belief growing up (hat cheese will pay better than butter this season in the distant markets,
