Prevention Act, 1907. : i; A lettefr from the Railway Department promised that exhibitors ■ consigning ' exhibits from one show to another before returning to the Original sending station could obtain rebates/but' must book from station to station any pay railage both ways. A question ,of reciprocity was opened up by a letter from Mr. J. H. Coleman, Napier, who sfoted that some years ago members of the Manawatu Association joined ■ 'the Hawke's Bay Society, and in return Hawke's Bay members joined Manawatu. 'As a'rium-' ber of Manawatu members had since left, ho' could not see, his way to continue as a member of Manawatu. It was decided to ask Mr. Cpleman :to''r'econsider his- decision, as the committee will endeavour to secure'some members for Hawke's Bay. Mr. M. Strang, "Masterton, sent along 'a donation of £10 for tho jumping. competitions, and received a.hearty vote of thanks.' It was decided; that ; the ladies' hacks should be allowed to . enter the grounds at II a.m., instead of 9 a.m. as in former years'. Mr." J. 0. Batchelor; notified the committee that owing to lack of' accommodation he could not houso the dairy cows for the butterfat competition this year.. Mr. Standen and Mr. Lancaster, were'appointed'to secure suitable accommodation. The .."chairman, reported that subscriptions amounting to '£100 had been collected in Wellington for the association.
