Alberti, whose arrest for alleged defalcations totalling a million sterling led to the downfall of the Christensen Government, was chairman of the Danish Farmers' Association. Danish papors state ho was largely interested in a Manchester and Tooley Street firm dealing in colonial dairy produce. ,
