1— NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING, (nr telegraph—muss association.) Dunadin, September 14. Nearly 80 players are expccted to compete at the New Zealand golf championship meeting, which will take place hero, next week. Fifty-three have entered for the amateur championship, tho names being as follow: —Holmes (Mastcrton), Luslc, Rhodes, Jameson, Wood, Wright,' liutherford, Sleigh, Treweek, Sims, Kitto, Harman, Trolovc (Christchurch), Saunders (Wanganui), 'Tasker, Marshall, M'Laren, Lynch, Barber, Wright, Perry (Timaru), Roxby. Darling, Armstrong (Oamaru) Grigor, Gunthorpo (iialclutha), O'lvane, Ross (Alexandra), Forbes, Fotheringham, M'Carthy, Stilling, Biss, Roberts, Fisher, Kettle, Samuel,- Park, Bullock, Tapper, R. J. Smith, B. Smith, H. C. Smith, Stronach, Brydono, Wales, MacLean, MacEwen, C. Turnbull, W. M. Turnbull, Thomson. Holdsworth, M. Turnbull. For the open championship entries havo been received from the above players with the exception of M'Laren, Bullock, Tapper, Wales, MacLcan, Thomson, Holdsworth, and Gunthorpe. The following professionals have also entered for tho open championship:— Watt (Melbourne), Herd (Christchurch), Hood (Oamaru), Whitehead (Wellington), Johnston (Wellington), and Milliner (St. Clair). Tho Red Dot Professional Ball was much in evidence at tho recent championship held in Sydney last week. All the Australian and New Zealand champions played with tho Red Dot Professional.
