At the Napier Golf Tournament to-day play was continued in fine but windy weather. ; In the first round of the nion's championship Kaipi Tareha beat V. Harman, W. B. Colbeck beat W. Strang, H. B. Lusk beat Major Gordon, Kurupo Tareha beat H. T. Hamilton, G. F. Thorburn beat F. T. Boys, A. Barraud beat B. A. Dargaville, E. S. Pearce beat H. Kawhi, J. S. Circuitt beat W. J. Peacock. * The following were the scores in the match for tho Williams Cup:—Napier No. 1 team, 357, first; Auckland, 378, second; Manawatu, 380, third; Christchurch, 386, fourth; Napier No. 2, 386, fifth; Wellington, 391, sixth. The men's handicap one round stroke competition was won by G. N. Pharazyn with a gross score.cf 00, handicap 12, not 78. J. Circuitt was second with a gross scoro of 92, handicap 11, net 81. Tho folowing teams will represent the Hutt and Wellington Golf Clubs respectively, in a match to be played on tho Herotau'nga Links on Saturday:—Abbott v. A. Duncan, Kirk v.Himdyside, Perston v. M'Ew'an, Climio v. Dalzioll, Ross r. Gore, Gilray v. Clark, Allan v. Lees, Hudsdn v. Freeth, Robieson v. Didsbury, Pearson v. Kirkby, Spencer v. George, Howdon y. Mylno, Cullender v.
