Watts also entered some horses of rood quality. There was a good attendance of buyers." A'pair of handsome half-draughts, prize animals, brought ,£63, and one first-class grocer's cart gelding brought £30 10s., both these being on account of Mr. Sargeant. Draughts sold at .£2O and ,£22, and ono pony at £12 10s. Bidding was keener than usual, due no doubt to the approach of spring. The firm anticipates a good market for good sorts for some months. STOCK SALES. ' Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale at the ,Mas.terton Yards yesterday, when they offered'. only a vory few sheep, but had'a very good yarding of cattle, which wero very hard to quit. A good number of buyers were present,, and practically the whole yarding was sold. They quoto:—Fat owes and wethers, 13s. lOd.j ISmonths steers and heifers, 325. Gd.; 12 and 18months steers and heifers, 225. .Gd.'; 3 and 4-year steers passed at.. £4 17s. 6d. There was a moderate yarding of store sheep, including a few. good lines of ewes arid ewo hoggets, and several lots of wethors. As the directors of the Mount Zeeharij Gold Mining- Company failed tc' conveno a meeting of shareholders 'as requested by certain of the latter for the discussion of the company's affairs, an indignation meeting of' shareholders was held'this afternoon. Mr. J. G. De Renzy, who was voted to-the chair, referred to the fact that at : the annual meeting of'shareholders the report • and balance-sheet were not' accepted, and jt was understood that tho meeting was to' lje adjourned for 14 days. As the directors had no't called that meeting, shareholders had' met to consider the position of affairs.
