AN INSULT TO ROMNEY BREEDERS.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —In the "New Zealand Times", of September 1 appeared a most serious accusation against every breeder of pedigree llomney Jlarsh sheep in the Dominion. If. .it is as your contemporary states, that a "fraud" has been committed in the export of. some rams, why does he not publish the namo of the perpetrator of that "fraud," or at least supply it to tlio president of the Rom-ney-Sheepbrceders' Association,, in placo of publishing a gratuitous insult to every Romney breeder in New Zealand, as the slur rests on all till the culprit is exposed., and punished? I trust the president of the llomney Sheepbrceders' Association will probe this matter, and cither expose the guilty one or make the author of tlie statement in your contemporary retract and apologise for his collective insult.—Yours, etc., . BREEDER, September 7, 1908.
