[FROM OtIK SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT;] ! A number of- the, Wairarapa sheep-farmer? have already shorn-their stud sheep. It is almost certain that this season, there will be fewer shearers employed in tho Wairarapa than formerly. The. reason of the decrease is the, recent Arbitration : Court award which deals with .sheds' running, mora than "six stands." -Some."stands"! will .bo cut down to this number, and this procedure will benefit ,the' shearers who are fortunate enough to be employed.! It.is stated that there are only twelve shearers in the Wairarapa who are members of the union. Tho lambing generally, is not up to the averago of last year. Some ,of tho stud returns aTo said to be very poor. An. exception in one instance was that of Mr. W. •Perry,.who obtained seven lambs-from three ewes. The ram which brousht -this about was a high-caste animal with an : excellent pedigree. •
