A RECORD SALE. " ' The record salo of ordinary dairy stock for. quite a number of years took place yesterday at Ngaparua, near Woodvillo (writes our Wairarapa correspondent) when 6. Motley's herd of cows and heifers, comprising 35. in number, averaged £8 Bs. per head. Cows reached £13 10s., while amongst heifers one unbroken one realised £13 16s. The animals were mostly Jersey crossbred. It : is estimated that thero is , at ' the present time a demand for fully 500 moro dairy cows in the Bush and Wairarapa districts.
