BRAVERY AND COURAGE.

There was a large attendanoe at the_ Anglican Churchroom, Wadestown, last night, when the presentation of the Royal Humano Society's "in memoriam medal" was made to Mr. Rudolph Cook, father of Miss Hilda Maud Cook, who lost her life at Masterton last Christmas in an endeavour to savo a lad of eleven, named Godfrey Catcott, from drownt'ho Rev. T. G-. Kay made tho presentation, being asked to do so by the society, as deceased was closely connected irith tho church.. In doing so, he made.n sympathetic speech, and expressed his mingled pleasure and regret at tho duty he had to perform. He was sorry to lose a character who was a blessing to the' community in general and their own church in particular, for she had been a very earnest church worker, and had been specially energetic in aiding the building fund.
