A sitting of tho Magistrate's Court was hold 011 Monday before Mr. W. P. James, S.M. F. G. Henderson, charged with procuring drink for a prohibited person, was fined £10, in default two months' imprisonment. A' similar chargo agaiust Harry .Gooding was dismissod, as ovidenco proved that _ defendant was not awaro that the person in question was prohibited. Samuel Bur, on a chargo of procuring liquor during tho currency of a prohibition order, was fined 10s. and costs 7s. A youth named Arthur Harrod pleaded guilty to committing an unnatural o'fence, and was committed to tho Supremo Court for sentence. Tho monthly meeting of Loyal Unity Lodge was held on Monday night, Bro. J. M'Carty, N.G., presiding. Tho Foruleaf Lodge of Druids wrote asking that one of their brothers in Featherston bo placed on tho doctor's list. This was agreed to. One new member was initiated. A fraternal visit was paid by the Groytowii Lodge, and tho homo lodgo won fivo gamos against Greytown's two at cards. A musical evoning followed.
