(FROII our.' SPECIAL COEKESrONDENT.) Levin, September 1. The Rev. Mr. Mason visited the Woraroa Experiment Farm on Saturday afternoon, his object being to see if he could discover wator. Mr. Mason has-a gift tha ; t enables him to find water when it exists at somo depth below the surfaco. , Ho walks about in a likely'spot with his hands spread out, and when he arrives over a place where water is his hands and fingers begin to tremble and move about in a remarkablo mannor. In his wanderings round on Saturday ho had no fewer than ten "'.vator attacks," these places being pegged out for boring operations, which will be commenced at once. For somo time past tho Government havo been trying to .sink bores, and although they have gone, down to a distance of over 250 feet havo not been successful. Mr. Mason visited tho spots f whero boring had been going on and walked round them, but did not feel tho slightest effcct of water, and says that no matter to what depth tho bores had gono they would never havo touched wator.
