In moving .the adoption of 'the report, tho chairman referred to tho unsuccessful year, but said that as a set-off shareholders might congratulate themselves. that there was a surplus instead of a deficiency. Things had looked very bad indeed. at one time during the drought, but : a silver lining, had come: with tho March rains,; and on • the • whole the soason had ended much more satisfactorily than had boon expected. Mr. Windle, the manager of tho factory, was to bo congratulated upon bis performance of turning out nothing but first-grade butter. Referring to 'the business of tho company, tho chairman stated that an effort would' bo .made to collect the uncalled capital, and the directors would, also go into the matter of paying suppliers their cheques before the 20th of the month: The motion was seconded by Mr. ' It. Kibblewhite, and the report was adopted. On the motion of Mr. -W. H. Buick, Messrs. J. C. Ewington, R. Wilton, and R. Kibblcwhito, the retiring directors, wore re-elected. -The manager of the factory, Mr. Windle, was: granted a £10 bonus in recognition of his work in tho interests of the company during the past season. At a subsequent meeting of directors, Mr. J. C. Ewington. was Te-nlected chairman for the ensuing twelve months.
