WELLINGTON ROWING CLUB.
• The annual meeting of the Wellington Rowing Club was held in tho club's rooms last evening, thoro being a fair number present. Mr. Geo. Read occupied tho chair. The annual report and balance-sheet, a precis of which has been published, was read and adopted. A special vote of thanks was passed to thoso who attended rogattas under tho auspices of tho club at their own expense. The balance-sheet showed that the sum of £852 represented tho assets of the club over liabilities. Tho following officers wore elected for the ensuing season: —President, Sir Robert Stout; vice-presidents, •Messrs. J. 6. W. Aitken, M.P., J. Hutcheson; .T. Duthie, W. H. P. Barber, M.P., J. Trevor, W. Allan, W. J. Ferkins, and tho Hon. T. W. Hislop; club captain, W. J. Gaudin; vice-captain, H. A. M'Kinley; committee, A. Quale, S. Shilling, W. Hulbert, H. Redding, E. Charman, C. Gray, J. R. Crawford; hon. secretary, W. A. Gemmell, hon. treasurer, C. R. Furness; auditors, Messrs. G. Read and C. A. Arthur; selection committee, S. Shilling, W. J. Gaudin, and H. A. M'Kinley; raco committee, H. Redding, S. Shilling, and W. Hulbert; delegates to Wellington 'Rowing Association, A. J. Bishop, W. J. Gaudin, and W. A. Gemmell. During the evening seven now members were elected. '
